Team Golf is suitable for chippers and crushers!

A Chipper – is a new player starting their journey in golf, to learn new skills, have fun and make new friends
A Crusher – is a young golfer who is growing a love for the game and developing their confidence and skills on modified course lengths.

Team Golf is open to girls and boys 15 years and younger, all abilities welcome!
The length of the course is shortened to suit young golfers and played over 6 holes. This format creates a fun, low pressure environment to play and learn together! There’s lots of fun on the course and in the clubhouse for the whole family.

How do you play team golf?

The format of play is called Ambrose and we play it as a team.
1. Start each hole by playing off our shortened course, all players take it in turns to hit their first shot and the best positioned ball is selected.
2.This is one shot for scoring purposes. The other players pick up their ball and all players continue to play their next shot from the best positioned ball.
3.Continue this process until the ball is in the hole. Simple!
Pick a cool team name and off you go!

Whitford Park Golf Club

Whitford Park Golf Club is an 18 hole golf course that is both picturesque and challenging, with first rate practice facilities, we offer many unique benefits to our members. These include a clubhouse with lounge, dining and bar areas, driving range, swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic area and a kids play area that is unique when compared to other golf courses.

Course Features

Whitford Park is a par 71 championship golf course, set amongst 254 acres of beautiful indigenous trees and streams. The 18 hole course measures 6250 metres from the Blue tees. The greens are consistently among the best available in New Zealand while the couch grass fairways provide a delightful playing surface throughout the year. Regardless of skill levels the course offers all golfers the challenge of a great game in beautiful park like surroundings. You can play for a day as a visitor or become a member.

Club Features

Driving Range
We have a 20 bay driving range for you to come and practice or just a hit a few balls. Key card membership cards are available for purchase. The driving range is open to the public 7 days a week.

The Clubhouse

Whether relaxing before or after your round, enjoying a family event, social or corporate function, Whitford Park provides an outstanding venue. A full range of facilities are provided where you can enjoy elevated views across the course, with tree lined fairways spreading into the distance. The function room, dining area and bar areas, all enjoy the same wonderful setting.

Catering
Whitford Park Café, which is renowned in the local area, will ensure that your function is hassle and stress free. They cater for all types of functions from the very small to the most elaborate. Parties, weddings, cocktail functions, birthdays, corporate golf days and special events are all handled to perfection.

Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Children's Playground

Large swimming pool in gated area, come and relax in the pool or play a game of tennis while enjoying a BBQ in the picnic area while the children play in the playground.
